October 2024 brought a wave of excitement and change to the theatre world, marking the end of some beloved productions while ushering in new ones. Notably, Choir of Man announced its final performance, bidding farewell to its loyal audience. Meanwhile, looking ahead to November, Juno and the Paycock will also be playing its final performance in London in November. However, theatre fans have much to look forward to, with a fresh production of Evita in development, sure to bring a powerful new take on the iconic musical.

We will dive into some exciting new shows heading to the London stage in November, including A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic, which promises to be a seasonal highlight, and a fresh revival of The Producers. Why Am I So Single? to close early in the West End

From the creators behind the smash-hit SIX, Why Am I So Single? has delivered a fizzing new energy into the West End scene since it opened. Unfortunately the production has announced it will be closing its limited season earlier than planned with the final performance announced for 19 January 2025. Now is the time to book tickets for the all-singing, all-dancing musical which follows two best friends as they navigate the ups and downs of modern dating in their 20s.

More sad news came from the West End this month with news that due to a major redevelopment planned for the Arts Theatre and its nearby space, The Choir of Man will be closing in the West End this December. Celebrate community, friendship, and pub culture for one last time with this unforgettable show.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express announces fourth extension

One of the theatrical events of the year, Starlight Express is now extending its run at the specifically designed stadium at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre for a fourth time. You can now catch Andrew Lloyd Webber’s unforgettable production until October 2025. There’s also a release of the London cast recording planned in November!

Jamie Lloyd to direct Evita in London in 2025

With Jamie Lloyd’s production of Sunset Boulevard recently transferring to the Broadway stage following its acclaimed run in the West End, we’ve heard news of an exciting new project for the director in 2025. There are plans for a production of Evita, although its not confirmed whether it’s his 2019 version from Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre which halted plans of a West End transfer due to COVID restrictions.

Lionel Bart’s irresistible and iconic musical is weeks away from opening in London! Oliver heads to the Gielgud Theatre following its critically acclaimed premiere at the Chichester Festival Theatre this summer.
