Here's our first look at The Score in rehearsals, a new play by Oliver Cotton.
Joining the lead actors in the production is Peter De Jersey as Voltaire, Juliet Garricks as Emilia, Stephen Hagan as Frederick, Jamie Wilkes as Carl, Christopher Staines as Quantz, Toby Webster as Benda, Matthew Romain as Graun and James Gladdon as Helstein, with Geoffrey Towers, Jordan Kilshaw and Rebecca Thornhill.
Directed by Trevor Nunn, The Score premiered at the Theatre Royal Bath before transferring to the West End. The play follows the world’s greatest composer as he is called upon by Europe’s most tyrannical ruler. As the Age of Enlightenment dawns, we see how the explosive events of the following days unfold and are not predictable by either man.
The Score will play at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 20 February to 26 April 2025. It will be followed by The Deep Blue Sea starring Tamsin Greig, another transfer from Bath this Spring.
