This will be the first revival of the production since March 2020 when it only had one performance before the pandemic shut all theatres.

Mozart's comic opera, The Marriage of Figaro heads to the London Coliseum next month.
Originally based on ‘La folle journée, ou le Mariage de Figaro’, preceded by ‘Il barbiere di Siviglia’, both by Pierre Beaumarchais. The Marriage of Figaro is a sequel of The Barber of Seville, composed by Gioachino Rossini.
Set during a single chaotic day, Figaro and Susanna's wedding spirals into a whirlwind of mistaken identities, deception, and utter mayhem. As the couple navigates the pandemonium, they outwit their scheming employer—a flirtatious and unfaithful Count—delivering a memorable lesson in loyalty and love.
Joe Hill-Gibbins will direct the cast which includes David Ireland (Tosca) as Figaro, Mary Bevan as Susanna, Neal Davies (The Yeomen of the Guard) as Dr Bartolo, Rebecca Evans as Marcellina, Hanna Hip (Così fan tutte) as Cherubino, Hubert Francis as Don Basilio/Don Curzio, Nardus Williams as Countess Almaviva, Cody Quattlebaum as Count Almaviva. Completing the cast Trevor Eliot Bowes as Antonio, and Ava Dodd performing as Barbarina.
Johannes Schütz is the Set Designer, Astrid Klein is the Costume Designer, Matthew Richardson is the Lighting Designer, Jenny Ogilvie is the Associate Director and Movement Director, and the translation is by Jeremy Sams.
The Marriage of Figaro will play for seven performances from 5-22 February 2025 at the London Coliseum.
