Almeida Theatre's critically acclaimed, hot ticket, sell-out production of A Streetcar Named Desire focuses on the tense relationship between the delicate, fading Southern belle Blanche DuBois and her volatile brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski, in a working-class New Orleans neighborhood. As Blanche's illusions unravel under Stanley's brutal scrutiny, the production exposes audiences to themes of desire, class conflict and mental instability before coming to a dramatic climax.
A Streetcar Named Desire will run at Noel Coward Theatre from 3 - 22 February 2025.
