The cast includes Doreene Blackstock (Sex Education)plays Lena, Joséphine-Fransilja Brookman (High Times and Dirty Monsters) plays Beneatha, Cash Holland (A Streetcar Named Desire) plays Ruth, Solomon Israel (Jitney) plays Walter Lee, Gilbert Kyem Jnr plays George (The Milkmans Purpose), Kenneth Omole (Top Boy) plays Joseph/Bobo and Jonah Russell (Arms and the Man) plays Karl. Jeriah Kibusi and Oliver Dunkley will share Travis's role in London.
Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun is a classic family drama full of humour and heart, full of relevance and power in a world still divided by inequality. Embarking on a limited tour which premieres in Leeds, the production was known for breaking barriers as the first play by a Black woman on Broadway.
A Raisin in the Sun will play at the Lyric Hammersmith from 8 October until 2 November.
