Trompe L'Oeil in London
Trompe L’Oeil Tickets
Love BIG drama? This one’s for you. Packed with cabaret, show tunes, politics, queer theatre, and circus acts; this fresh new musical is not to be missed at The Other Palace Studio.
Experience magic with great quality Trompe L’Oeil tickets
Trompe L’Oeil wowed audiences Off-Broadway in 2021, again at the Fringe in London during 2022, and at Paris’s Fluctuart gallery in 2023. Written by Henry Parkman Biggs and directed by Blair Anderson, the brilliant Associate Director of The SpongeBob Musical, this highly creative show is inspired by a broad collection of musical genres. Because every song contains a secret message, there’s a quirky, unique lyrical structure to enjoy.
This new musical heads to The Other Palace Studio from 28-September - 15 October 2023.
All about Trompe L’Oeil – Simply extraordinary!
With book, music and lyrics by Henry Parkman Biggs, this fab musical experience has been inspired by surrealist art. Clocks also feature strongly, along with references to Escher’s famous drawings of mind-bending staircases, Henri Magritte’s weird Apples, and the ultimate surrealist Salvador Dali’s Melting. It’s a visual treat as well as a uniquely beautiful production.
The full Trompe L’Oeil cast and creative team.
There’s a stellar cast of eight; Emer Dineen who thrilled us in Modest, Alex Wadham whose work on 42nd Street delighted audiences, Craig Barley of The Third Man fame, Dominic Booth who rocked the world in We Will Rock You, Olivia Saunders who scored a hit with Hex, Sarah Louise Hughes who played a great role in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, plus William Elijan Lewis, making his London stage debut, and Yasmin Sharp from Chase.
Trompe L'Oeil is Directed and Choreographed by Blair Anderson. The Musical Director is Georgia Rawlins and the Musical Supervisor and Arranger is Mark Crossload. The Associate Musical Supervisor is Laurence Stannard, the Associate Choreographer is Thomas Ashton and the Producer is Funky Tickle Productions.

Review: TROMPE L’OEIL at The Other Palace
by Stuart King | Monday, October 2 2023, 08:47
It has to be acknowledged that many underground theatre successes have started from humble beginnings and used as their basis a left-field, zany, bizarre and weird premise. The Rocky Horror Picture Show probably stands as the most long-lived testament to the genre, but there have been others. Here, Donald Trump’s pact with a devilish Vladimir Putin succeeds in getting him elected 45th US President in 2017 and forms the basis for some mad-cap but rarely enjoyable moments.
