The Unseen in London

The Unseen by Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Brothers and Sisters, Lost, Dirty Sexy Money) is on stage at London’s Riverside Studios, described as an intense and thought-provoking new play. If you like drama that delves deep into the human spirit’s resilience, this one’s for you.

The Unseen the story

The play is set in a violent totalitarian regime where two strangers, Wallace and Valdez, are imprisoned for reasons we never discover, only able to talk to each other through the walls of their cells. As the men try to find an escape route they face hope and disillusionment, finding solace in each other’s company. As they try to justify their imprisonment by creating meaning, their torturer is torn between his duty and revulsion at his job. So he plans a showdown designed to change everything.

About The Unseen

The Unseen premiered at the Humana Festival in 2007 then transferred to New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre. This new production will include high-profile post-performance discussions along with the UK premiere of the international exhibition ‘Faces of Russian Resistance’.

The Unseen cast and creatives

Craig Wright is a critically acclaimed US playwright and screenwriter whose plays include The Pavilion, Recent Tragic Events and Lady. Iya Patarkatsishvili, who directs, is a political activist who campaigns for human rights, in particular political prisoners in Russia.
