What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank will extend its run at London's Marylebone Theatre in the New Year after its current sell out run finishes on 23 November.
Directed by Patrick Marber, the show is based on Englander's acclaimed 2011 short story in The New Yorker. The play explores the complexities of identity, memory and Jewish heritage. Set around a conversation between two Jewish couples, What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank delves into the differing ways they relate to their faith and the Holocaust.
The show also features Caroline Catz (Doc Martin, ITV) as Debbie, Dorothea Myer-Bennett (Nachtland, Young Vic) as Shoshana, Simon Yadoo(Love's Labour's Lost) as Yerucham and Gabriel Howell (The Unfriend, Chichester and West End) as Trevor.
The role of Shoshana will be played by Mercedes Bahleda (Morning Light) from 20 – 25 January inclusive.
What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank will play at the Marylebone Theatre from 20 January - 15 February 2025.
