Originally built in the 1930s as a cinema, EartH Hackney is a new 680-capacity venue in Dalston that has undergone two years of restoration.

The Wild Party will be the first production to head to the venue this summer, with performances from 12 August until 7 September.

The musical, based on the poem by Joseph Moncure March, features a score by Michael John LaChiusa and a book by LaChiusa and George C Wolfe.

The cast includes Laura Baldwin (Cinderella, West End), Simon Anthony (Guys and Dolls, Bridge Theatre), Bobbie Little (The Witches, National Theatre), Billy Cullum (A Christmas Carol, Old Vic), Chumisa Dornford-May (The Phantom of the Opera, West End), George Crawford (Newsies, Troubadour Wembley), Jade Kennedy (Fun Home, Gate Theatre Dublin), Kirsty Foreman (professional debut) and Christian Maynard (Rehab: The Musical, Neon194), Samantha Bingley (Beauty and the Beast, London Palladium), Kyle Richardson (The Lion King, West End), Maddison Bulleyment (42 Balloons, The Lowry), Lillie-Pearl Wildman (Standing at the Sky's Edge, West End), Ronan Quiniou (The Wizard of Oz), Ryan Wolpert (professional debut), Jennifer Louise Jones (Beauty and the Beast, London Palladium) and Amber Sylvia Edwards (Tina-The Tina Turner Musical).

The Wild Party focuses on a tumultuous and decadent party thrown by a vaudeville performer named Queenie and her lover Burrs. The story explores themes of jealousy, violence, and the dark side of the Roaring Twenties as the night spirals out of control. As secrets unravel and tensions rise, the party culminates in tragic consequences, reflecting the hedonism and despair of the era.

The Wild Party runs from 12 August to 7 September 2024 at EartH Hackney, London
