Joining Brian and Nicole in The Score are Peter De Jersey as Voltaire, Juliet Garricks as Emilia, Stephen Hagan as Frederick, Jamie Wilkes as Carl, Christopher Staines as Quantz, Toby Webster as Benda, Matthew Romain as Graun and James Gladdon as Helstein, with Geoffrey Towers, Jordan Kilshaw and Rebecca Thornhill. Further cast members are to be announced.
The Score is a gripping drama set against the backdrop of historical turmoil. The characters grapple with the cost of pursuing personal and artistic ideals. It follows the celebrated composer Johann Sebastian Bach who is coerced into working for a totalitarian regime in 1747. As he wrestles with the ethical implications of his actions, he is drawn into a web of betrayal, manipulation, and conflicting loyalties. Directed by Trevor Nunn, the production originally ran at the Theatre Royal Bath last year.
The creative team for The Score includes Robert Jones as the Set and Costume Designer, Johanna Town as the Lighting Designer, Sound Designer and Additional Composition by Sophie Cotton, Cordelia Monsey is the Associate Director and the Casting Director is Ginny Schiller CDG.
The Score will run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 20 February to 26 April 2025.
