Here's your first look at The Fear of 13.
Directed by Justin Martin, the production stars Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Nana Mensah (Jaja's African Hair Braiding, New York), Michael Fox (Othello, Riverside Studios), Aidan Kelly (The Man Who Had All The Luck, Donmar Warehouse), Posi Morakinyo (For Black Boys.., Garrick Theatre), Cyril Nri (Further than the Furthest Thing, Young Vic), Ferdy Roberts (Kyoto, The RSC) and Tommy Sim’aan (A View from the Bridge, Headlong).
Based on the remarkable true story of Nick Yarris, The Fear of 13 tells the harrowing tale of how a routine traffic stop spiralled into a conviction for murder. After spending 22 years on Death Row, Nick takes the extraordinary step of petitioning the court—not for an appeal, but to set his execution date. The Fear of 13 reveals the astonishing events that unfolded next.
The Fear of 13 will run at the Donmar Warehouse until 30 November 2024.
