Based on the iconic film and original book, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA will have a UK premiere at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 9 July 2024 before heading to the West End.
The new musical will open at the Dominion Theatre on 24 October 2024.
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA will have music by Elton John, lyrics by Shania Taub, a book by Kate Wetherhead and direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots), set design by Tim Hatley (Back To The Future), costume design by Gregg Barnes (Some Like It Hot), lighting design by Bruno Poet (Tina - The Tina Turner Musical), sound design by Gareth Owen (Come From Away) and casting by Jill Green CDG. What is THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA about?
Based on the 2006 blockbuster film and bestselling novel, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA will strut into the Dominion Theatre next autumn, but what is it about?
It tells an inspiring story about discovering what kind of person you truly want to be. Aspiring journalist Andy scores a job at the prestigious Runway magazine fresh out of college. She's going to work for fashion's most powerful and terrifying icon - the editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly. Andy sacrifices her personal life to meet Miranda's demands and finds herself immersed in the glamorous world she once despised.
How far will she go to succeed.. and will it be worth selling her soul to get what she's always wanted?
