Terence Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea is heading to the West End early next year.
Directed by Lindsay Posner (A View From The Bridge), the play is set in 1950 and centres around Hester Collyer, a woman trapped in a passionate but destructive love affair with a former RAF pilot, Freddie Page, while still tied to her estranged husband, Sir William Collyer, a respectable judge.
The Deep Blue Sea will star Olivier Award winner Tamsin Greig (Much Ado About Nothing) and Finbar Lynch (Girl From The North Country, Noel Coward Theatre).
Joining Posner on the creative team are Set and Costume Designer Peter McKintosh, Lighting Designer Paul Pyant, Sound Designer Gregory Clarke, Composer Will Stuart, Hair, Wigs & Make-up Designer Carole Hancock, Casting Director Ginny Schiller and Associate Director George Jibson.
The full cast will be announced soon.
The Deep Blue Sea will play at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 7 May - 21 June 2025, following on from the limited run of The Score from 20 February - 26 April 2025.
