Tom Stoppard’s kaleidoscopic comedy of love, infidelity and the stories we tell begins performances in London next month for a limited run.

Susan Wokoma (Enola Holmes 1 and 2, Netflix) and Oliver Johnstone (All My Sons) will join the cast of The Real Thing. Performances run at The Old Vic from 22 August to 26 October.
The duo join the previously announced cast members James McArdle (Mare of Easttown) and Bel Powley (A Small Light) in a production directed by Max Webster (Life of Pi).
Also joining the cast of The Real Thing is Jack Ambrose as Brodie, Rilwan Abiola Owokoniran as Billy and Karise Yansen as Debbie.

Following actress Annie and playwright Henry, The Real Thing dives through layers of play and performance, reality and deceit.
The production will follow The Constituent which performs at The Old Vic until 10 August 2024.
