The new production will take over the critically acclaimed Guys and Dolls which will end its run on 4 January 2025.

The cast has been announced for Richard II at the Bridge Theatre.
William Shakespeare's Richard II centres on the downfall of King Richard II, whose self-indulgence and ineffective leadership resulted in political unrest and an eventual deposition.
Nicholas Hytner will direct the previously announced Jonathan Bailey alongside Royce Pierreson (The Witcher) as Henry Bolingbroke, Christopher Osikanlu Colquhoun (The Wheel of Time) as Earl of Northumberland, Olivia Popica (The Wheel of Time) as Queen Isabel, Amanda Root (Romeo and Juliet) as Green and the Duchess of York, Phoenix Di Sebastiani (The Great as Thomas Mowbray and Groom, and Clive Wood (London’s Burning) as John of Gaunt. Michael Simkins will also join the cast of Duke of York, he is currently performing at the Bridge Theatre in Guys and Dolls.
The cast also includes Adam Best (Peaky Blinders) as Sir John Bagot, Seamus Dillane (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) as Lord Surrey, Vinnie Heaven (Cowboi ,RSC) as Aumerle, Jordan Kouamé (Wolf Hall 2) as Sir John Bushy and Harry Percy, Gerard Monaco (A Small Family Business) as Sir Stephen Scroop and Keeper, George Taylor (The Lady In The Van) as Fitzwater, and Badria Timimi (Our Girl, My Brilliant Friend, National Theatre)as Abbess of Carlisle.
Completing the cast as understudies are Emma Bown (Romeo and Juliet), Martin Carroll (Twelfth Night, The Apollo) and Stephan Boyce (Aladdin – Lyric Hammersmith).
Richard II is playing at the Bridge Theatre from 10 February to 10 May 2025.
