What is LA CAGE AUX FOLLES about?
The 1973 French play of the same name comes to life in the beautiful surroundings of Regent's Park. Gay couple George and Albin's relationship is put to the test when their son, Jean-Michel, brings home his fiancée's ultra-conservative parents to meet them. It won't be easy as George is the manager of a Saint-Tropez nightclub that features drag entertainment, and Albin is the star attraction.
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is a groundbreaking production. It opened on Broadway in 1983 and was the first musical to put gay characters centre stage.
