The European premiere of Allegiance has released some exciting production pictures!
Currently running at the Charing Cross Theatre until 8 April 2023, Allegiance is inspired by the true story of renowned actor and activist George Takei.
After receiving critical acclaim on Broadway, George Takei makes his West End debut in Allegiance.
The show centres around the Kimura family and their struggles in the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor. A story of courage, family and loyalty in the face of injustice, Allegiance sheds light on the traumatic experiences that 120,000 Japanese Americans faced in internment camps.
Created by Lorenzo Thione and Jay Kuo with a book by Marc Acito, the cast also includes:
- Telly Leung (Glee) as Sam Kimura
- Aynrand Ferrer (Miss Saigon) as Kei Kimura
- Masashi Fujimoto (The King and I) as Tatsuo Kimura
- Megan Gardner (Les Miserables) as Hannah Campbell
- Patrick Munday (But I'm A Cheerleader Musical) as Frankie Suzuki
- Iverson Yabut (The Pirate Queen) as Mike Masaoka
This brand-new production is directed and choreographed by Tara Overfield Wilkinson, and runs at the Charing Cross Theatre until 8 April 2023.
