The mythical adventure musical "Worthy of the gods!" (Time Out New York), explodes onto the London stage from next month.

Max Horwood will take the lead role of Percy Jackson for the London premiere of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.
Bursting onto the scene in 2021, Horwood played a critically acclaimed performance as Jamie New in the film adaptation of Everybody's Talking About Jamie. This has created a successful career on both stage and screen, including recently in the Olivier Award winning Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
Presented by Bill Kenwright and Paul Taylor Mills, the musical is based on the much-loved best-selling book series by Rick Riordan. The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical first premiered off-Broadway in 2014 to rave reviews and went on to have two US tours, an off-Broadway run in 2017 and a 16-week run on Broadway in 2019.
The story follows Percy Jackson, a teenager who discovers he is a demigod, the son of Poseidon. Percy embarks on an epic quest with his friends to prevent a war among the Greek gods by recovering Zeus's stolen lightning bolt. The Lightning Thief will take audiences on an epic adventure that will have you on the edge of your seat.
The musical has a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill), music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki (Monstersongs) and is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day).

The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson will play at The Other Palace from 23 November until 02 February 2025.
