GIANT will transfer to London's West End for a limited 14-week season next year.

Directed by Nicholas Hytner and designed by Bob Crowley, GIANT was a sold-out hit during its run at the Royal Court Theatre over the Autumn.

Tony and Golden Globe-winner John Lithgow (The Crown, Netflix) will reprise his extraordinary performance as Roald Dahl with Olivier Award-winner Elliot Levey (Cold War) returning as Tom Maschler. Further casting to be announced.

Inspired by real events, GIANT follows the world-famous children's author during a turbulent period in his life in 1983. It focuses on the fallout from a controversial book review he wrote, which was perceived as antisemitic, while also preparing for the publication of The Witches. Roald Dahl is also dealing with personal challenges, including his divorce and fiancée's influence.

Although it deals with important topics, GIANT has the brilliant addition of dark humour in it which audiences loved during its premiere.

The production features lighting design by Anna Watson, sound design by Alexandra Faye Braithwaite and casting by Arthur Carrington. General Management is by Short Street Productions Ltd and Mark Rubinstein is Executive Producer for the West End Production.

GIANT will play at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 26 April - 2 August 2025. The production will follow the West End transfer of The Years which runs from 24 January - 19 April 2025.
