Artistic Director Richard Twyman's version of the work by William Shakespeare has been reworked for 2025 following its national and international tour where it snapped up critical acclaim.
Joining the previously announced Alex Austin (As You Like It, Shakespeare's Globe) as Macbeth, Lois Chimimba (Common, National Theatre) as Lady Macbeth are Gabriel Akuwudike (Hamnet, RSC) as Banquo, Bella Aubin as Malcolm in her professional stage debut, David Colvin (Thunderstruck, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Scottish tour and Australian tour) as Lennox, Ammar Haj Ahmad (Returning to Haifa, Finborough Theatre) as Macduff, Daniel Hawksford (Nye, National Theatre and Wales Millennium Centre) as Duncan, Bianca Stephens (2:22 A Ghost Story, Noël Coward Theatre) as Lady Macduff and Sophie Stone (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, National Theatre) as Ross.
Heading into London for a limited time, this new version is a stylish, contemporary and gut-wrenching production which explores why Macbeth has haunted our fears and nightmares for centuries.
Macbeth will run at the Lyric Hammersmith from 28 February - 29 March 2025.
