Complete Cast Of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES At Regent's Park Open Air Theatre Revealed

The highly-anticipated revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is heading to Regent's Park Open Air Theatre this summer. The full cast and creative team have been announced with the show opening on 29 July.

Artistic Director Tim Sheader will bring Harvey Fierstein's book and Jerry Herman's score to life in the beautiful surroundings of the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre this summer.

Leading the cast for this revival will be Carl Mullaney (Chicago/Les Misérables) as Albin and Billy Carter (A Moon For The Misbegotten) as Georges, alongside Ben Culleton as Jean Michel, Julie Jupp as Marie Dindon, Shakeel Kimotho as Jacob, Debbie Kurup as Jacqueline, John Owen-Jones as Edward Dindon and Sophie Pourett as Anne.

The company is completed by Jak Allen-Anderson, Craig Armstrong, Tom Bales, Taylor Bradshaw, Daniele Coombe, Jordan Lee Davies, Nicole Deon, Lewis Easter, Harvey Ebbage, Emma Johnson, George Lynham, JP McCue, Rishard-Kyro Nelson, Alexandra Waite-Roberts and Hemi Yeroham.

What is LA CAGE AUX FOLLES about?

Based on the 1973 French play of the same name, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES tells the story of a gay couple, George and Albin. George is the manager of a Saint-Tropez nightclub featuring drag entertainment and Albin. his romantic partner; is the star attraction. Their relationship is put to the test when their son, Jean-Michel, brings home his fiancée's ultra-conservative parents to meet them.

It opened on Broadway in 1983 and broke barriers for gay representation - it was the first Broadway musical to put gay characters centre stage.
