Production images released for KISS ME, KATE

The London revival of Cole Porter's Broadway comedy classic only plays for a limited season this summer.

Directed by Bartlett Sher, Kiss Me Kate has returned to the London stage for the first time in a decade with performances at the Barbican Theatre until 14 September.

Today they also announce the addition of Tuesday matinees instead of the evening performance from 9 July until the end of the run.

Kiss Me Kate includes a stellar cast including Adrian Dunbar (Line of Duty, BBC) and Tony Award-winning Broadway actress Stephanie J. Block who makes her West End debut. They are joined by Charlie Stemp (Mary Poppins), and Georgina Onuorah (Oklahoma!) alongside Nigel Lindsay, Hammed Animashaun, Jack Butterworth, and Peter Davison.

Completing the cast is Josie Benson, Jude Owusu, Carl Au, Jordan Crouch, Gary Milnere, James Hume, Alisha Capon, Shani Cantor, Maya de Faria, Amelia Kinu Muus, Jacqui Jameson, Lucas Koch, Alex Lodge, Nell Martin, Anna McGarahan, John Stacey and Harrison Wilde. Swings are Robin Kent, Barry Drummond, Emily Goodenough and Maddie Harper.

Kiss Me Kate intertwines the chaotic love life of a divorced couple with their performance in a production of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. With an unforgettable score by Cole Porter, the musical explores themes of love, jealousy, and reconciliation through humorous and heartfelt songs.
