The cast and creatives of AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE
The cast which joins previously announced Matt Smith includes Jessica Brown Findlay (The Flatshare, Hamlet) as Katharina Stockmann, Priyanga Burford (Rapture, Eyam) as Aslaksen, Zachary Hart (Julius Caesar) as Billing, Paul Hilton (The Inheritance) as Peter Stockmann, Nigel Lindsay (The Lehman Trilogy, The Trials) as Morten Kiil, and Shubham Saraf (The Father and the Assassin) Hovstad.
What is AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE about?
AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE tells the story of an idealistic doctor, Stockmann, who discovers that the spring showers that his small town relies on for their wealth are contaminated with a deadly disease. Up against the people, who chose to silence his thoughts and ignore him, Dr Stockmann refuses to be ignored and allows his voice to go silent.
This new version from Thomas Ostermeier presents a stark reminder of the ongoing pressures of climate change and global warming, and how we as the general public have an incapacity to change the threats that are around us.
