Omar Elerian will direct the BAFTA nominee Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù (Gangs of London) following on from his critically acclaimed production of The Chairs.

The cast has been announced for Rhinoceros at Almeida Theatre.
Joining the previously announced Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù are John Biddle (Possible, National Theatre Wales), Hayley Carmichael (The Cat and the Canary, Chichester Festival Theatre), Paul Hunter (Robin Hood: The Legend Re-written, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre), Anoushka Lucas (A Face in the Crowd, Young Vic), Joshua McGuire (I'm Not Running; The Magistrate, National Theatre), Sophie Steer (Mnemonic, National Theatre) and Alan Williams (Mary Stuart, West End/UK Tour).
Translated from Eugène Ionesco’s absurdist satire, Rhinoceros offers audiences a powerful exploration of resisting conformity and preserving our humanity in the face of the overwhelming pull of the herd.
It will run at the Almeida Theatre from 25 March - 26 April 2025.
