On 27th May the show’s producer Stacey Mindich announced the final performance of the critically acclaimed, Olivier Award-winning Best New Musical Dear Evan Hansen. It takes place at the Noël Coward Theatre on 22nd October 2022, three years after the West End premiere that wowed audiences and a year after its return post-lockdown. It’s sad to see it go – and it has been marvellous!
Who’s involved in Dear Evan Hansen?
The show's Original Broadway Cast Recording debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200. It was the highest charting debut position for an original cast album since 1961. It won the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, along with Gold Certification. In 2021 two tracks, Waving Through a Window and You Will Be Found, joined the BBC Radio 2 Top 50 Greatest Songs from a Musical. See it while you can!

About the Noel Coward Theatre
The Noel Coward Theatre was originally called the New Theatre, then became the Albery Theatre to celebrate the venue’s long-term manager Sir Bronson Albery. Sir Cameron Mackintosh bought the venue in 2005 and renamed it the Noël Coward Theatre in memory of the famous playwright. Past shows at the Noel Coward Theatre include Lionel Bart’s musical Oliver! which ran for 2,618 performances, plus, more recently, The Comeback, and The Night of the Iguana.
