Dirty Dancing will triumphantly return to London in the new venue, opening on 23 October 2025.
Produced by Karl Sydow, the musical has already had two box office record-breaking seasons in the West End in the last for yours. Dirty Dancing is a romantic drama set in the 1960s and follows the story of Frances "Baby" Houseman, a young woman who falls in love with her dance instructor, Johnny Castle, during a summer vacation with her family. The musical offers a fresh take on the beloved story, script, and music from the film. Not forgetting the classic soundtrack of over 35 hit songs including 'Hungry Eyes', 'Do You Love Me?' and '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life'.
The brand new purpose-built 620 seat venue will take over the vibrant Westfield London in Shepherd's Bush. Capital Theatre will be an intimate and flexible auditorium where every seat offers a fantastic view. The venue will also accommodate premium rehearsal rooms and first class backstage facilities.
Audiences will be able to access the venue through numerous public transport links, including 4 major London underground stations and convenient car parks nearby.
Capital Theatre will be a thrilling new addition to the cultural scene in London!
