Update for Back to the Future at the Adelphi Theatre
This critically acclaimed Olivier Award-nominated and WhatsOnStage Award-winning Best New Musical opened back in September 2021 and has thrilled audiences ever since. Now an ‘overwhelming demand’ for tickets has led to the lead producer Colin Ingram plus Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale announcing BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical will extend its run to 23rd October 2022.
Who’s involved in Back to the Future?
We’ve been waiting for this. Now, finally, the Original Cast Recording is out today on the Sony Music Masterworks Broadway label. The event marks exactly two years since the world premiere of the show at Manchester Opera House, and contains new tunes by the multi-Grammy Award-winners Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard as well as classic chart hits from the movie.

- It has also won Best Supporting Performer in a Male Identifying Role in a Musical for Hugh Coles
- Plus Best Lighting for Tim Lutkin and Best Sound for Gareth Owen
- This week the show received seven Olivier Award nominations, making it the most nominated new musical this year: Best New Musical, Best Actor in a Musical for Olly Dobson, Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for Hugh Coles and Best Original Score or New Orchestrations for Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard

- The main cast comprises Roger Bart and Olly Dobson as 'Dr Emmett Brown' and 'Marty McFly' respectively, with Hugh Coles as 'George McFly', Rosanna Hyland as 'Lorraine Baines', Cedric Neal as 'Goldie Wilson', Aidan Cutler as 'Biff Tannen', Courtney-Mae Briggs as 'Jennifer Parker', Will Haswell as 'Dave McFly', Emma Lloyd as 'Linda McFly' and Mark Oxtoby as 'Strickland'.
