The award-winning and critically acclaimed musical experience is having its European premiere at a London fringe theatre this Spring.
The full cast and production team have been announced for A SONG OF SONGS. The production will run at the Park Theatre from 9 May - 15 June 2024.
The company of twelve performers and musicians will bring this epic, poetical musical theatre to vibrant life. A SONG FOR SONGS will be led by the prolific Israeli actress, writer, and composer Ofra Daniel. This will also mark her UK stage debut.
The cast of A SONG OF SONGS
Ofra Daniel is joined by Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Pacific Overtures), Matthew Woodyatt (The Fair Maid of the West), Laurel Dougall (Singin’ in the Rain); Rebecca Giacopazzi (Death on the Nile); graduate Ashleigh Schuman and Shira Kravitz (The Band’s Visit). Alongside five on-stage musicians led by Musical Supervisor on keys Jerome van den Berghe. He will be creating and jamming with his musicians, bringing their own inclusive fusion of extraordinary musicality.
What is A SONG OF SONGS about?
A SONG OF SONGS tells the story of Tirzah, a young wife who is in a loveless marriage. She discovers an unseen admirer and enters into a mysterious and fervent love affair that unearths a seductive, sensuous, soul-searing journey of sexual and climatic personal empowerment. Or will this affair create love-induced madness?
