Update for 2:22 - A Ghost Story at the Criterion Theatre
A Ghost Story has announced its transfer to the Criterion Theatre, a smash hit of a play by Danny Robbins that’s sent thousands of theatre-goers home to sleep with the lights on! This famously scary tale is transferring to the Criterion Theatre on 7th May 2022 for a strictly limited season of seventeen and a half weeks, and tickets are on sale now.
Who’s involved in 2:22 – A Ghost Story?
This critically acclaimed supernatural thriller transfers for the second time to The Criterion Theatre, previously on stage at the Noel Coward Theatre and starring Lily Allen, Julia Chan, Hadley Fraser and Jake Wood. The last venue was the Gielgud Theatre, where the show starred Stephanie Beatriz, James Buckley, Elliot Cowan and Giovanna Fletcher in a run ending on 12th February 2022.

About the Criterion Theatre
The Criterion Theatre is known and loved for supporting new playwrights, educating the next theatre-going generation, and offering world-class entertainment. The first production there took place way back in 1874. Past shows at the Criterion Theatre include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) from March 1996 to April 2005, The 39 Steps from September 2006 to September 2015, and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, which ran from March 2016 to March 2020.
In November 2021 we heard rumours about John Whaite’s West End debut. Now it looks like an announcement will be made shortly. Some say John will take centre stage in a brand new ALW musical. Others say it might be a role in an existing production. Either way it’ll be a dream job for a man whose dancing skills astonished and delighted everyone, including himself. If he can perform as confidently on the West End stage, it’s going to be quite something. Add the fact that John can also sing beautifully and the signs are looking very good indeed.
