We have some fresh stars joining the cast of Wicked in the West End. Check out the new production images below, taken by the talented photographer Matt Crockett. Described by the BBC as ‘one of the most successful musicals of all time’, and the 9th longest running musical in the West End’s history, Wicked has been seen and loved by by 60 million people worldwide. It’s currently booking to 27th November 2022.
Who’s involved in Wicked?
Wicked is inspired by the novel by Gregory Maguire. It’s an enchanting story that imagines the future of the characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, revealing the events and decisions that influence the destiny of two friends from university, one of whom becomes Glinda The Good and the other of whom transforms into the Wicked Witch of the West.
- Laura Pick (Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), Alistair Brammer (Fiyero), Kim Ismay (Madame Morrible) and Andy Hockley (The Wizard) all play their final performances on 30th January 2022
- These new cast members take to the stage from 1st February 2022: Lucie Jones plays Elphaba, Ryan Reid is Fiyero, Sophie-Louise Dann is Madame Morrible, and Gary Wilmot plays The Wizard
- Helen Woolf returns from maternity leave to continue her acclaimed performance as Glinda
- These talented cast members continue their roles: Carina Gillespie as Nessarose, Nicholas McLean as Boq, Simeon Truby as Doctor Dillamond, Amy Webb as the standby for Elphaba, and Charli Baptie, also a standby for Glinda.

The Apollo Victoria Theatre is an Art Deco classic with a stunning auditorium, described as an ‘undersea fairy cavern’. The original organ remains, traditionally played before films in the ‘30s when the venue was a cinema.
