Welcome to the show starring both of them, the deliciously named LEMONS, LEMONS, LEMONS, LEMONS, LEMONS.

This is a debut play from Sam Steiner and it was received with great acclaim when first staged at Warwick Arts Centre in 2015, winning three Judges' Awards at the National Student Drama Festival. Since delighting audiences at Warwick, the play has been performed at Latitude Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and Camden People's Theatre.

The fun is directed by Josie Rourke (BAFTA and Oscar nominated Mary Queen of Scots, currently directing As You Like It, Soho Place) and Designed by Robert Jones. Lighting Design is by Aideen Malone and Movement by Annie-Lunnette Deakin-Foster. The Associate Costume Design is by Kinnetia Isidore, and more members of the creative team will be announced shortly.

This is a tender romcom about what we say, how we say it, and what happens when we can't say anything anymore. Described as fresh and sharp, it explores what occurs when the government introduces a daily limit of 140 words per person. It begins as a tightly written love story but soon broadens into a fascinating exploration of free speech. It’s also a truly dystopian drama. Sam Steiner’s punchy script presents the government’s sinister Quietude Bill, a two-hander featuring Turner and Coleman as they try to navigate their relationship in spite of the restrictions. The result is both hilarious and provocative.
