The Last Tango in London
Starring:
Vincent Simone, Flavia Cacace
The beloved Strictly Come Dancing superstars Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace are on the West End stage again, having created their most moving production... ever. This is also their final London theatreland show, on stage at the Phoenix following a smash hit tour of Britain and Ireland. It's The Last Tango, the anticipation is growing and we're predicting another sell-out. Don't miss it!
The nation’s favourite Strictly Come Dancing stars have done it again, scoring another huge hit and bringing the excitement of dance to London for a grand theatrical finale. This is their ultimate farewell show, following on from Midnight Tango and Dance ’Til Dawn, and it's the most moving and spine-tingling yet.
Flavia Cacace started dancing ballroom and Latin at the age of five. By the time she was fourteen she was already a star, and met her long-time dance partner Vincent at a competition. Vincent Simone's family are steeped in dance, and his parents both teach it. He trained in Italy before coming to the UK and hooking up with Flavia... and the rest is history.
The pair have had a fantastic time on tour with The Last Tango so far, and by all accounts have loved performing live in front of large audiences night after night. Now their newest extravaganza is coming to the West End, and the excitement is mounting fast.
Last Tango – The story
The Last Tango is an intimate and emotional experience showcasing numerous ballroom styles, from the couple's award winning Argentine tango to the Rumba, ballroom tango, jive and more. The story stars George, who relives all the most wonderful experiences in his life through dance, from love to heartbreak and everything in between.
Because it's their final show, Flavia and Vincent are determined to go with a bang, which means audiences have more to look forward to than ever before. And the team supporting them is a legend in itself. The musical arrangements and orchestration comes from Chris Egan and Matt Smith, there's awesome set design by Morgan Large, stunning costumes from Vicky Gill and dramatic lighting design by James Whiteside. The sound design comes from Richard Brooker and the Olivier Award-winning choreographer and director Karen Bruce is responsible for the moves.
This is the end of a twenty year journey which has seen the couple become the darlings of the British TV show Strictly Come Dancing as well as respected World Dance title-holders and performers in several of their own smash hit West End productions. Don’t miss your last chance to see this beautiful couple do their remarkable thing. It's intimate, it's passionate, it's explosive... and you'll never see anything quite like it again.
The Daily Telegraph calls it 'a triumph'. The Independent says the show is packed with 'star presence and poise, danced with exuberant delight'. What superlatives will you use to describe the show? Come along and find out.

good collabaration of different kind of dances to effect a dramaExpected to see a show of tangos, but surprised to find a romantic story told by visually pleasant choreography with tango element. The high light was the songs are fabulously interpreted by the wonderful singer to compliment the dances.

Wonderful! This show was the third production we have seen from the amazing Flavia and Vincent and for us, the best. The love story was portrayed beautifully and the rapport between the two main characters (F&V) was highly emotive. The dancing was superb and spellbinding! Loved it all! What a joy to see these two gorgeous people on stage doing what they do best and so obviously enjoying every moment!

Vincent and Flavia Tango back into the West End, for one last time
by Phil Willmott | Sunday, August 28 2016, 10:35
A big problem faced by TV celebrities is how to make best use of their fame when the on screen work dries up.
Two people who have made a great job of building on public adulation to branch out in their careers are Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace. They were hugely popular dancers in early seasons of STRICTLY COME DANCING and since leaving the show they have created three popular stage shows.
