This very special version of High Society first showed at the San Francisco American Conservatory Theatre, where it enjoyed a successful out-of-town try-out. It moved to Broadway in 1998 and now it's in London, back on stage to delight musical theatre lovers all over again.

There's a glittering new production staged in the round and the multi-award winning director and stage star Maria Friedman is at the helm. Wow!

The 1956 MGM film musical starred Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra. It featured a host of hit Cole Porter tunes including True Love, You're Sensational, Well Did You Evah? and the all-time classic Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

High Society - The story

It's the year 1938. The beautiful, smart, ridiculously rich Oyster Bay, Long Island socialite Tracy Lord is planning a suitably lavish summer wedding. She's meant to be marrying a pretentious executive type. But her ex-husband Dexter wants her back, and he turns up in an effort to upset the applecart.

When the handsome tabloid journalist Mike Connor rolls up to cover the celebrations, he also falls in love with the bride to be. Which makes things very complicated... the lovely Tracy now has three suitors to choose from. Who will win her heart and take her hand in marriage?

It's charming and funny, light hearted and romantic, the perfect easygoing show packed to the rafters with brilliant show tunes. As you'd imagine the costumes and stage sets are stunning, the Cole Porter classics raise the rafters and everyone goes home feeling that lovely warm glow you only get from the very best musical theatre.
