Come Alive delivers a feast of extraordinary feats, amazing circus skills plus classic and contemporary circus artistry, all mixed up with the finest musical theatre to create real family magic. Loosely based on the 2017 movie everyone loves, you’ll adore this vivid, inspiring show.

Come Alive – The story

The plot is inspired by the real life tale of legendary American circus owner P.T. Barnum, whose 1800s vision of perfect entertainment brought him from humble beginnings to become the creator of the world’s first ever circus. As you can imagine it was a smash hit and made him the household name he still is today.

Barnum gathered together a group of unique and unusual people, many of whom had never been treated kindly or with respect before he brought them on board. Barnum’s diverse group of performers showcased their brilliance despite the social prejudice they suffered. This gorgeous show tells a brand new story but you’ll probably recognise some of the lovely show tunes from the film, including This Is Me, Rewrite the Stars, A Million Dreams, Tightrope, and The Greatest Show.

Simon Bailey plays The Showman himself, with Aaliya Mai as Max. The singers are Jason Brock, Jaz Ellington, Charlotte-Hannah Jones, Whitney Martins and Fallon Mondlane. The dancers are Maisie Axton, Genie Gledhill, Mia Jayne, Konnie Karachaliou, Ebby Sama, Emma-Louise Stansall and Ross Wilkins. The circus performers are Juan Anyosa, Korri Aulach, Klodi Dabkiewicz, Bella Diosa, Yann Leblanc, David Locke, Rachel Locks, Daniel Luengo Quintero, Shona Morgan, Dean Murrell, Theddy Nardin, Manases Palacios Molano, Antino Pansa, Joel Roxendal, Itzel Salvatierra and Josephine Urry.

The performers include Cirque de Demain Medal winners and Cirque du Soleil performers, critically acclaimed artists from West End shows, plus Drama Desk Award-winning Creative Director Simon Hammerstein (My Way Las Vegas residency, Queen of the Night). The creative talent includes Music Producer and Olivier Award nominee Matthew Brind (Paddington 2, Legally Blonde), Lead Choreographer Jerry Reeve (Taylor Swift), and Emmy-nominated Lighting Designer Adam Bassett (London 2012 Olympics). The music comes from Pasek and Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, ‘City of Stars’ from La La Land).
