Burn The Floor in London
Burn The floor – Elegant, passionate, inspirational
Burn The Floor has thrilled audiences in more than forty countries since its launch in 1999, inspiring the young, old and everyone in between to take up ballroom or Latin dance for themselves. Carrying on the good work, it’s tipped to be a monster hit in London’s West End.
The show combines dazzling costumes, reinventing ballroom and Latin dance way before the smash hits Dancing With The Stars and Strictly Ballroom changed the face of dance forever. And this, the latest production of a show that never fails to excite and stimulate, is the best yet.
The dancers who make this show to special are all internationally renowned, champions in their own right, and you’ll never forget the sheer elegance, style, precision and perfection of their performances. Many of the show’s stars have appeared on TV, as has the show’s highly respected former World Champion Latin and Ballroom dancer, Creative Director and choreographer Jason Gilkison. He earned a formidable reputation as a guest choreographer and judge on TV’s Strictly Come Dancing and So You Think You Can Dance, a household name and familiar face.
Expect a breathtaking variety of legendary dance favourites including classic and Viennese Waltzes, the exotic Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa and Rumba, the supremely graceful Foxtrot, the exquisite Quickstep and exciting dances like the Mambo and Tango. The show also covers intricate Swing, funky Jive, the wartime smash hit Lindy Hop and the stunning, intricate Pasa Doble. And that’s just for a start!
The main stars of the show, Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff from the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, join sixteen world-beating dancers, accompanied by two truly sensational singers and a cracking live band. It’s electrifying!
Burn The Floor - The story
Enjoy a journey through the history, drama and passion of dance. Every dance style is treated with the same mind-blowing sensuality and athleticism, brought to stunning life by dancers who have won an impressive 100 or more Championship Dance Titles between them.

Review: BURN THE FLOOR at The Peacock Theatre
by Thomas Michael Voss | Friday, October 21 2016, 13:57
The Peacock is well known for presenting world dance, such as Flamenco, Argentine Tango, and Cirque Du Soleil type shows. Now, in its third main reincarnation and running till 5th November 2016, BURN THE FLOOR (FIRE IN THE BALLROOM) is a worthy addition to that repertoire.
The evening is filled with almost all the favourite Ballroom and Latin American Dances and more, from Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive to Quickstep, Tango, and Viennese Waltz with post-modern twists.
